Weight Watchers - Week 7

I went tonight, but I have no idea about my weight. I don’t want to know, whether it was good or bad. I’m focused on the Secret, which means I must believe I’m at my ideal weight right this moment, so weighing in and tracking how much I have left to lose is counterproductive.  But I can still go to the meetings to get good information on nutrition and to support my WW Buddies (Mom, Berta & Kelsey) Berta and Mom both lost over 2 lbs this week. 

The discussion this week was about visualization.  When setting a goal, it is more likely to happen if you can see the outcome. The more specific the details, the better, and the more senses engaged in the experience, the better. Here’s an example:

Imagine an event that you have to look forward to, a dance or party. See yourself walking into the room and really take in all the details of your appearance;  nails freshly manicured, hair perfectly styled, flawless makeup and a gorgeous dress that emphasizes all your knock out curves.  Now imagine the room, hear the music, the hum of conversation and tinkling glass.  See heads turn and feel the appreciative looks you receive.  Feel the warm rush of confidence flowing through your body as you step forward.  Smile as you imagine friends greeting you and gushing about how terrific you look.  Smell the fresh flowers sitting on the table. 

The more senses you can engage in your visualization the more real it will become and by the time you arrive at the party, it will seem like deja vu.

I am visualizing my body, right now at this moment, at my ideal weight.  Without a mirror, I have no evidence that confirms or contradicts how I “think” I look.  It doesn’t really matter what I look like, the only thing that matters is what I “think” I look like, because that is reality. Reality is only a matter of perception.  That may sound weird and new agey, but the truth is:  everybody experiences a different reality based on their perception of reality.  If an single event occurs, witnessed by four individuals, each will recount the event differently depending on their perception or perspective.  No one is “right” or “wrong” and everyone is “right” and “wrong”. 

I believe 100% that I am my ideal weight, I am  in perfect health,  I am fit, full of energy and my metabolism is set to High, so every time I eat, I burn fat.  I’m not looking for evidence to prove myself wrong.  I’m looking for evidence to prove myself right!  What evidence have I found so far? 

I feel confident.

I receive compliments about how good I look. 

I feel good.

I  have lots of energy all day long.
