By now you know I’m reading the Secret and applying it to various areas of my life. I’m looking at managing my health and weight, my finances and my career. I have specific images in mind for each of these areas, and I reinforce them each day with positive thoughts.
I imagine money flows on a river, freely and in abundance. The river feeds thousands of streams, branching in all directions, delivering wealth along the way. Some people stop at the stream and fill their buckets with money, while others just watch it roll by and make no effort to capture it. They may see their neighbors taking money out and feel resentful because they didn’t take it, or fearful that the stream will dry up. It doesn’t matter though because what has flowed by, is gone, so even if the stream did dry up (which it won’t) allowing opportunity to pass doesn’t save it for later.
Anyway, some people place barriers between themselves and the stream, so the money flows around them. And a few, a very few, create a dam, to accumulate wealth. I imagine the river flows directly to me. It is endless and bountiful. I just have to open my arms and receive wealth from the Universe.
I will build a dam made of words, attracting the river by offering value to others. As the river pools, I will scoop the money and use it to nourish my family, to sprinkle on my garden, to share with neighbors who won’t collect the money from the stream themselves. Everyday, the river brings money to me. Not only do I receive money that I expect, but I also receive money unexpectedly, every day - a gift from the Universe.
I’ve been visualizing this for about a week now, and I repeat the mantra - “Money flows to me on an endless river”. I expect money everyday, even though I have no plan for how it will come to me. A refund, a rebate, a bonus, a gift. I’m not picky. So far this is my experience:
Shopping for appliances, A & I expected to spend ~$3K. We went @ the right time, because here is what we were offered:
12 mo free financing
$200 Gift Card
$100 Rebate from GE
$55 Rebate for delivery charges
The stove we bought was mismarked, so we saved $100 off the retail price. So our total savings, (not including the 6 mos of finance charges) was $455 We spent less than $2K.
I bought a vacuum that had a sign error, offering $20.00 gift card w/ purchase. The store honored the sign, but they couldn’t issue a gift card, so they gave me $3 off coupons totaling $21.00. I also saved $80.00 on clothing. $101
In one week, I’ve saved $556 unexpectedly. I’m going to keep up with my visualization and tracking the results.
