According to the Secret, the first step to receiving is asking. Before I can ask the Universe for what I want in my life, I have to be clear on what it is. And in asking the Universe for what I want, I should state it as though it already exists and express my gratitude.  And so….

I am so thankful that I have perfect health and boundless energy to pursue all my goals. I am thankful that my life is full of love. I’m thankful that I feel accepted, valued, and cherished for who I am. I’m thankful that I can earn my living doing what I love and working from home with Alan, being able to work flexible hours from flexible locations. I’m thankful that I have wealth and abundance in my life, so I am able to provide for my family and share my good fortune with others. I am thankful that my life is full of opportunity to experience new things, new places and new people. 

 Now I can let my desires go into the Universe w/o having to ask again. Because I am clear about what is in my life, and I will act as though it is so, and it will be so. I do know this works, because six years ago I dreamed of owning the home I live in now. I had no idea how it was going to happen, but it did.  I imagined the home of my dreams.  I filled notebooks full of photos taken from magazines and poured over them until finally the Universe answered my dreams with a home I could afford and all the features I wanted.
