Weight Watchers - Week 6

I  didn’t go to the meeting last week because Kels & I had a meeting at her school, but I was back this week. The talk this week was all about moving more, just getting started and then getting fit.  I am getting back w/ the program this week, after several months of slacking.  Berta has got me motivated because she’s lost 19 lbs!

One interesting tip was to eat a high protein snack, like a few almonds, right afer working out. Because this will keep your metabolism revving longer.  Protein is ideal because it helps build muscle, and the more muscle the faster metabolism.  I think I get discouraged before I even start, because I always want to start out strong (walking 30 minutes a day or doing 50 sit ups a day) when I could commit to just finding 10 minutes a day to walk around the block.  This week I’ll make an effort to park further away and to walk around the block a few times or swim for a few minutes.
