The Secret

Kelsey has been using the Secret lately and it’s working for her.  I know it works too, but it’s so easy to slip back into old habits, focusing on what’s wrong instead of what’s right, or being dissatisfied instead of grateful.  I’m going to read it again, just to reinforce what I already know in my heart to be true: that God has given us the power of choice, and not just related to faith, but related to the quality of our lives.  We create every part of our lives, and whether you call manifestation or a matter of focus, the result is the same.  Whatever you believe, you’re right.

If I believe that we’re struggling financially, we’re going to struggle. And it won’t matter how much money we make, because it will never be enough.  But, if I believe that money flows into our lives and we have abundance always, then we will always have enough.

If I believe that I’m old and unfit, every ache and pain will be proof of my deterioating state.  If I believe I am active, healthy and energetic, I will notice how good I feel every day that I am able to walk, to breath fresh air, to care for myself and my family, to participate in activities.

Rather than focusing on lack, I will only focus on my blessings. My life is full of love. I have a wonderful husband who is my partner and best friend. I’ve never questioned his love or commitment to our marriage.  And there is no one I would rather spend my life with.  I have two beautiful, healthy and brilliant daughters. My girls will be able to do anything they want to do with their lives. Neither is impaired by any physical or mental disability, but more importantly, neither is impaired with poor character. They are both loving, kind, sympathetic to others, conscientious and capable.  I have a terrific mom, who supports me and loves me unconditionally.

I have my health, my home, my job. I am intelligent enough to learn new things. I am capable enough to earn a living and provide from my family. I’m successful enough to work independantly.

Thank you God for providing me with so many blessings.  I accept them and cherish them, each and every one. Every day brings gifts of joy, love, abundance and opportunity. And that is the greatest blessing of all.

Note: Einstein and his colleagues founded modern physics on the principle that the “simple” act of observation changes the nature of a physical system, leading them, as Dean Radin puts it, “to think deeply about the strangely privileged role of human consciousness.”
