Weight Watchers - Week 5

I missed 2 weeks and was ready to quit going, but Kelsey inspired me to stick with it. 2 wks of “screw it” mentality and I’m up 2.8 lbs. This is better than I thought, because I figured I’d be right back to where I started. My biggest gripe was we always seem to talk about food (???) Thankfully last night, the topic was reviewing our resources. WW provides a pamphlet each week, beginning WK 1 - Getting Started. This is an introduction to the WW plan, counting points, flex vs. core and it has a few meal suggests. There is a recipe for Garden Soup which is 0 points.

Other books include Eating Smart, Arms and Abs, Get Moving, Eating Out….not in any particular order. I’m looking forward to the Eating Smart book because it talks about nutrients that work well together, like Calcium and Potassium. In the meantime, WW has a Science Center which offers some good information. Another really good resource for learning about nutrition and how our bodies function is YOU! On a Diet by Dr Oz
