Ah, vacation days..
Monday, Tay & I went shopping for school clothes. We started out with pancakes @ IHop, then we went to Kohl’s & Target, Fiesta Mall & Superstition Mall. It was shop, shop, shop, until I dropped. Tay was still ready to go.
Yesterday we were finally able to swim in our pool. It’s been crazy trying to get that pool ready. First, the hole and lordy, what a hole it is! Then, getting the frame and liner up, filling the pool and discovering a leak. Next, draining the pool, flooding the yard and dealing with all the mud. Back to step two, repairing the leak, the frame, the liner and filling the pool once more. But wait…now the pump is busted, it’s raining every day (monsoon season) and the pool is full of grit and grime.
Finally, the pump is fixed, the vacuum vacuums, the skies are clear and we can swim!
We had a great time. We were playing touch football and volleyball, and just soaking up the rays. It was fun to get out in the fresh air and spend time with the fam. I hope we do more of that now that the pool is (almost) done.
