The vibe at work has not been too good. Phase I of the project is in test right now, and Phase II (which is my portion) is scheduled for blueprint signoff in September. With the lack of mgmt support and some shady things going on w/ SCO, I’m seriously worried Phase II will be cancelled. If they get any ROI on Phase I, I think Mgmt is going to cut their loses. And I’ll be screwed. But that was a chance I took coming over to IT. I knew it was risky, but I really wanted to expand my business knowledge and skill set. I accomplished that at least.
I’ve decided I need to be proactive, design my ideal job, and then go find it. Putting The Secret into action with the intention of doing something new in 2008, at which time:
I earn more. I am appreciated and able to shine. I am able to work independently, but I also have a strong support system when I need it. I am challenged but not overwhelmed. I have continued my education and professional growth, there are lots of opportunities around me. I have excellent benefits, including 401K, bonus opportunities, stock options, flex work hours, vacation time, health, dental and eye insurance…
My work energizes me and I love doing it every day. And my employer is happy that I’m there.
