I will remember this summer for my two broken toes, one on each foot. I broke the first one 3 days before I had to travel to Austin. The dogs tripped me on the way down the stairs, and somehow I jammed it, either on the rail or wall. I couldn’t really take it in as I was tumbling down towards the landing. I was in so much pain limping through the airport and hobbling to my hotel room. But nothing compared to a week later when we went to San Diego and spent 3 days walking around SeaWorld. By the end of the trip, my toe (Left foot, second from the pinkie) was swollen up like a hot dog. It still hurts.
BTW, according to Toe Reading Online…(yes, this is a real site, no kidding.)
“The Water toe is the fourth toe, also known as the Relationship Toe. This is the toe that, interestingly enough, is broken more often than any other toe. When the Water Toe is stubbed or lacks energetic substance, the question to ask is what is the history and quality of past relationships? Relationship is not exclusive to romantic relationships. It could refer to relationships with parents, siblings or to authority figures…the left Water toe is reflecting the relationship with self or Spirit.”
Then, the other night, Hershe was crying to get out of the bedroom, and I rammed my pinkie toe (Right foot this time) on a box by the door. This is the Earth Toe, “…symbolic of trust and prosperity perceptions. The right Earth Toe will hold a person’s deep beliefs about money and sexuality issues. The emotions of the right little toe revolves around fear, insecurities, and betrayal.” Say WHAT?
Now I limp favoring my left foot, but that hurts, so I limp to my right, Ouch! I must look like a Weeble, Wobbling back and forth, except I DO fall down.
To top it all off, I’m going back to Austin. It’s deja vu all over again.
