We just got home from watching fireworks. We went to see the show @ Fort McDowell Casino. Alan and I were laughing at how ironic it is for the Indian Casino to have a big Fourth of July show. It was a great show though, with the best grand finale we’ve ever seen. The ground actually shook from the explosions.
Today is a great time to reflect on how blessed we are to live in America. It’s not perfect by any means, but at least we are free to choose our own destiny, to voice our opinions and to worship at any alter we wish. Just being a citizen of the United States affords us privileges and wealth unimaginable in other countries.
I’ll say a prayer of thanks to our soldiers, past and present, who have protected our freedom and way of life.
