Father’s Day

We went out to dinner and a movie, celebrating Father’s Day a little early. Alan’s going to be working Sunday and I’ll be on my way to Austin. BUMMER

We saw Pirates, which was really entertaining. I think it’s getting so-so reviews, but we all liked it. Tay especially, since there was so much Jack Sparrow to enjoy, or should I say, so many Jack Sparrows to enjoy. I dunno, but Tay was happy.

Jack Sparrow, a’la Keith Richards, is so much fun to watch.

With tongue in cheek humor, Keith Richards made a cameo appearance as Jack’s father. His performance was disappointing though, he didn’t even flounce once. I don’t know if he just didn’t have the acting skills to liven up the role, or if the director reigned him in.

Actually, I thought “At World’s End” did a good job of moving the story forward, with a real ending. (unlike “Dead Man’s Chest”) Elizabeth & Will are back together (uh sorta) and Jack Sparrow is once again sailing the Black Pearl (uh sorta).
