Mother’s Day

Today was mother’s day.  My beautiful daughters woke me up w/ gifts, cards and flowers. So sweet. Then we took my mom to a movie and dinner @ Chili’s. Alan had to work, so that was a drag.

We went to see Fracture, which was decent. Anthony Hopkins can play such a convincing sociopath.  The character reminded me of Hannibal Lecter with his superior sneer and twisted gameplaying.

Going to the movies is still one of our favorite things to do.  When the girls were little, I’d take them to see all the Walt Disney movies…Lion King, Little Mermaid, Aladin, Beauty and the Beast.  I remember Kelsey saying “Snow White is a good actor” which just cracked me up.

Of course the girls also loved to watch movies at home.  I think it was Barney that wore out our VCR.  (Sure, they’ll deny it today, but they know…)

It was a lovely day, and I do love my girls.  I’m so blessed to have them in my life.
